Why I Will Never Diet

Updated: Dec 27, 2023

I've wanted to share this story with you for the longest while, but I didn’t know how to open the conversation. So here goes!

When I was about 10 years old, I remember sitting on the floor in the living room playing with my dolls. Across the room on the sofa, there was my mom, my aunt and two other friends eating pizza and having a discussion about their recent weight gain. They talked about the fact that they have to go on strict a DIET!!!! What on earth was a diet, I thought?

I heard them say things like eating salads and more vegetables and how hard it’s going to be to cut out rice, potatoes and pasta.

They seemed so unhappy – to me.

And a little girl, it sounded like a life sentence.

How boring is that?

The kicker for me was when they said “they were concerned about cutting back on salad dressings because of the sugar and fat content”. Yikes! What the heck!!! At that age, I had no idea that salad dressings were fattening. I continued to play with my dolls as I thought to myself - I hope I never have to go on a diet.

As I grew older, I realized that the diet culture will always be the same – in order to lose weight, we have to CUT OUT FOODS that causes weight gain.

Now, I don’t know any man or woman who doesn’t want to be slim. Yet about 70% of adults today struggle with their diet in some way. The reasons is that we are not realizing how much CONTROL WE REALLY have over what we PUT INTO OUR MOUTH. It’s really up to you when it comes to your food choices.

When I was in my 30's, I understood further how much time and effort had to be put into living a healthy lifestyle, not to mention planning and staying consistent with our daily health goals.

I know everyone is busy and life can get a little hectic. I also know that it can throw certain unexpected events our way – which can put a damper on our spirits and disrupt our well-being. BUT at the end of the day, no matter what life throws at us, we have to keep our body healthy.

It's a known fact that food is the most important essential for the human race. Food either nourishes us or makes us sick. It’s a reality.

I wanted to be able to help my clients create a more sustainable way of living a healthy lifestyle without feeling like they have to go on a diet and deprive themselves from delicious foods, so I created an eBook for the busy professional like yourself who is looking for a more healthier approach to living.

The book is entitled “Lose Weight Without Starving Yourself” was carefully prepared to help you get started on a path to good health and eating more whole foods - to help you to continue to eat all the delicious meals without starving yourself.
